Showcase of Schools

Showcase of Schools

The Spanish Dual Language Program is a Choice Program for students in grades K-5. Students receive instruction in both Spanish and English. Languages are taught separately and academic progress is monitored in both languages.

Our Arts programs are available for all students at Plumosa SOA in grades K-8. Communication, Visual, and Performing Arts classes are taught on a rotation model with every K-2nd grade student attending a class for 45 minutes each day, while the 3-5th grade students attend two fine art studio classes for an hour each day. Our fine art classes include Visual Art, Band, Chorus, Dance, Drama, Guidance, Media, TV Production, & PE. Students attending studio classes may also select Piano & Strings.

Our New Middle School of the Arts is a complete Choice School offering the aforementioned arts, including Graphic Arts. Students do not attend PE classes, but participate on two hours of their art major and elective classes each day. Sixth-grade students are selected through the lottery. There is no audition required, just a desire and passion for the arts!
